Late Gadolinium Enhancement (LGE) is an advanced imaging modality harnessed in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the detailed examination of heart tissue. The technique relies on the unique properties of gadolinium-based contrast agents, allowing for the enhanced visualization of fibrotic or scarred regions within the myocardium.
