Ventricular Trigeminy

Ventricular trigeminy is a cardiac rhythm disorder characterized by a specific and repetitive pattern of heartbeats. In this condition, every third heartbeat is a premature ventricular contraction (PVC), disrupting the normal cardiac rhythm. The distinctive three-beat sequence on an electrocardiogram (ECG) reveals a regular heartbeat followed by two consecutive PVCs, creating a unique pattern. The origin of ventricular trigeminy lies in disturbances within the heart's electrical conduction system. These irregular contractions may not always manifest noticeable symptoms, making the condition challenging to identify without proper medical evaluation. However, the presence of ventricular trigeminy can serve as a crucial indicator of underlying heart issues that necessitate attention.
